<p>In the past, when a person died, it was expensive to give flowers or fresh food so, people made sweets (these are made from soy flour, rice flour and sugar) in the form of flowers, fish etc. These items were then placed on the &quot;butsudan&quot; (family shrine found in the house) for the dead person.</p>
<p>The sweets are for decoration only.</p>
<p>*You can use this mold as food mold to cook. Please clean thoroughly before using.</p>
<p>The details on this mold are really amazing. Please note the crack on the cover.</p>
<p>It measures 16.5 cm long x 8.5 cm wide x 3.5 cm tall. Inside it measures 9.5 cm long x 7 cm wide.</p>

<p>In the past, when a person died, it was expensive to give flowers or fresh food so, people made sweets (these are made from soy flour, rice flour and sugar) in the form of flowers, fish etc. These items were then placed on the &quot;butsudan&quot; (family shrine found in the house) for the dead person. The sweets are for decoration only.</p>
<p>*You can use this mold as food mold to cook. Please clean thoroughly before using.</p>

<p>These sweets were also used for holiday celebrations, tea ceremony etc. These are for decoration only-they are never eaten.</p>
<p>*Kadomatsu is pine branches (for the New Year) to decorate a gate to bring happiness in new year.</p>
<p>*You can use this mold.</p>
<p>It measures 36.1 cm long x 8 cm wide 2.7 cm tall. Inside  they measure: 9.2 cm x 5.8 cm.</p>
